Note:
The idealist-extend project ended on 31 July 2006.

In October 2006 a new ideal-ist project started in order to support proposers with the ideal-ist partner search service for the Framework Programme 7.
All countries represented in the idealist-extend project are again members of the new ideal-ist project. The new project website is available on www.ideal-ist.net.

The aim of the project idealist-extend was to reduce the barriers faced by organizations and individuals wishing to participate in the Information Society Technologies Program (IST) of the EU, by

  • offering a transnational partner search
  • organising 10 workshops on participation facilities in the IST program
  • dissemination of information about the IST program
  • building up of a support infrastructure
  • strengthening international cooperation

As an integral part of the parent project ideal-ist, it represented an extension of the project to 3 Western Balkan and 4 Newly Independent States.

Idealist-extend strengthened IST NCP related organisations in the participating INCO countries, trained both these organisations and potential proposers in IST programme related questions, identified experts for call evaluations and brought potential proposers together at Infodays and workshops.

Idealist-extend and idealist34 jointly covered 41 countries of Europe and the neighbouring regions and included Member States, Candidate States and Associated States, as well as Third Countries.

The new ideal-ist project covers even 50 countries, please find mroe information on www.ideal-ist.net.
